I often get asked where I get all of my fabric from; I’ve got to admit, even I’m proud of it! Piles and piles of fat quarters and metre pieces. There is one place that I know I’m going to find what I need and that is The Corner Patch. Tucked away in a tiny arcade in a little market town in Staffordshire UK, The Corner Patch is a treasure trove for anyone who loves sewing or quilting.
What the shop lacks in size, it makes up for with the wide choice of amazing quality cotton fabrics, wadding, bias binding, beautiful threads, kits, gift ideas and sewing accessories); it’s an Aladdin’s Cave. Jane is so helpful and will happily help you look for colours, patterns and trims. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is trying to stop myself from popping in to browse (Pah! Who am I kidding?! When have I ever walked out of there without making a purchase?!) especially as Jane pops a little chocolate in your bag!
There are also great workshops – I’m dying to go to one but haven’t been able to get the day off to go on the ones I like…I’m working on it though!
Here are some of my favourite makes using fabric from the Corner Patch:
If you’re local or visiting Eccleshall, pop in and enjoy browsing (I can guarantee you won’t walk out empty handed); if you’re not local, you can shop online on The Corner Patch website.
