Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

I can’t promise this tray bake is not calorific; the ingredients speak for themselves. But if you’re looking for a tray bake that is quick and easy to assemble, you’re in the right place. It’s not too sugary sweet either, so perfect for those who haven’t got such a sweet tooth (for those of you who have, don’t worry, my Malteser Tray Bake and Rocky Road Bars are uber sweet and moreish!)

To make your own, you’ll need

  • 200g Digestive biscuits
  • 75g Butter
  • 175g Peanut butter
  • 200g Chocolate
  • 21cm square tray bake tin
  • Baking parchment
  • Rolling pin (or food processor
  • Medium saucepan
  • Small saucepan x 2
  • Spoon
  • Measuring scales
  1. Line a 21cm square tray bake tin with baking parchment
  2. Melt your butter and 125g peanut butter in your saucepan
  3. Meanwhile crush your digestive biscuits and add to your saucepan, combining well
  4. Turn out into your tray bake tin pressing down and into all corners to get an even base
  5. Melt your chocolate and 25g peanut butter in a small saucepan on a low heat until melted
  6. Spread your peanut butter chocolate mix evenly on top of your base to cover
  7. Melt 25g peanut butter in another pan
  8. Blob this on top of your chocolate and use the back of your spoon to swirl the pattern
  9. Put in the fridge until set
