Reese’s Spread Brownies

Reeces Peanut Butter and Chocolate Spread Brownies
It’s no secret I am a huge Reese’s fan. When I was in Hawaii celebrating my 30th birthday, there was a steady stock of Reese’s Peanut Butter Bars in the hotel fridge. I also shared my own take on Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups a little while back.
You can imagine how happy I was when you could buy their bar in spread form! Today I’m sharing my brownies with a twist recipe, this time with Reese’s spread. If you would like to make your own, you’ll need:


  • 200g unsalted butter, plus a little extra for greasing
  • 200g chocolate (I make mine with a 50/50 mix of milk and dark chocolate)
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 4 medium eggs, at room temperature
  • 130g plain flour
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • A jar of Reese’s spread

You’ll also need:

  • 23cm tray bake tin
  • Medium saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring scales
  • Spatula
  • Baking Parchment
  • Skewer


  1. Heat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius/Gas Mark 4
  2. Grease and line your baking tin with baking parchment
  3. Melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan on a low heat, stirring continuously until fully melted
  4. Put the sugar and eggs into a mixing bowl and beat together until well combined
  5. Add in the melted chocolate and butter and stir again until combined
  6. Sift the flour and cocoa on top of the chocolate mix and beat briefly until smooth
  7. Add 4 good dessert spoons of Reese’s spread
  8. Pour the brownie mix into the baking tin and level it with a spatula
  9. Blob on more Reese’s spread on top and carefully swirl with a skewer (you can also do this with the tip of your spoon if you’re careful)
  10. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until risen all the way to the middle with a firm crust on top. When ready, the brownie will jiggle just a little when you shake the tin
  11. Let it cool completely in the tin, then cut into squares
